We are seeking a skilled Backend Game Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the server-side logic of our games. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side systems, the definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also work alongside developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, building, and maintaining server-side applications, databases, and APIs.
- Implementing game logic and systems, including character progression.
- Developing networking and multiplayer capabilities to enable online play and communication between players.
- Managing server infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of game services.
- Ensuring security and implementing anti-cheat measures to maintain a fair gaming environment.
- Staying updated with the latest technologies and trends in backend development and gaming industry standards.
Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, SQL, NoSQL, and Git.
- Understanding of software design and architecture.
- Familiarity with backend frameworks and API development.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- In-depth knowledge of databases and server handling.
- Ability to write clean, efficient code and perform debugging and testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of data structures and algorithms (DSA).
- Knowledge of front-end technologies for full-stack development versatility.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration and teamwork.
- Creative design and artistry skills for game development, including graphic design and animation.
- Technical proficiency in game engines like Unity and Unreal Engine.
- Understanding of game mechanics and user experience design.

- Integrate and collaborate with existing IT systems to solve complex business solutions.
Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year professional experience in backend development;
- Minimum of 1 year professional experience working with Node.js and Typescript;
- Previous experience working with PHP is considered a plus;
- Experience in iGaming is considered a plus;
- Attentive to detail and takes great pride in your work, you care what the end-user thinks of what you have done;
- Passionate and consistently reads and collaborates with others to stay up to date with the latest best practices;
- Relevant education/series of hobby projects to showcase your skills will be considered a plus;
- Self-starter with a "can-do" attitude who works well within a fast-paced environment;
- Team player, bringing energy and positivity to our awesome team;
- Fluent in English;
- Highly organised and structured.
