HowSimpl is seeking a full-time WordPress/PHP Developer. Working closely with our visual design team, you will work alongside our technical team to review, build, and maintain highly interactive and engaging websites for high-profile social impact clients.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate with and provide technical guidance to team members and clients.
- Review technical specifications, wireframes, and requirements with our CTO and creative team to ensure a thorough and complete understanding of assigned projects and tasks.
- Create custom-coded websites built on open-source tools (WordPress and others) including primarily back-end theme and plugin development.
- Manage updates, changes, and feature additions to existing projects.
- Regularly consult with CTO on code deliverables to ensure work meets project requirements before sharing with the client.
- Conduct quality assurance and testing on project deliverables.
- Assist with technical solutions discovery on projects.
- Manage and coordinate tasks and communicate with clients as necessary.
- Communicate and collaborate with internal and external project team members.
Requirements:
- 2-4+ years of PHP-based programming experience.
- Strong understanding of the website design and development process, including working knowledge of: git or other versioning systems, configuring services such as web-hosting and dns systems, mobile responsive design, accessibility standards, and privacy/security standards.
- Self-starter, independent thinker, highly responsible.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Thrives working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strict attention to detail and adherence to project deadlines.

Requirements:
- Proficient in user experience and interaction design, having around 4 years in the industry.
- Demonstrating a portfolio of design capabilities.
- Accustomed to Agile environments and methods.
- Having a solid knowledge of or ability to learn software tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Creative Suite, Miro).
- Aware of digital trends and digital experiences, modern UI design approaches for Desktop, Web, Mobile, and emerging platforms.
- Passionate about solving problems.
- Strong in communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrating Upper-Intermediate English or higher.
