Our client’s project is an S3-compatible enterprise layer on top of the Filecoin ecosystem. L2 Filecoin network for enterprise-grade decentralized storage.
As a Manual QA Engineer, you will be essential to our quality assurance team, working closely with developers and senior QA engineers to verify and validate our blockchain applications. You will design, execute, and document test cases and scenarios to ensure that our applications meet rigorous standards of functionality, security, and performance. This role will allow you to develop your skills in a cutting-edge field and grow as a QA professional in the blockchain space.
Team on the project: Front-End Developers 2x, Back-End Developer, PM, BA

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in software quality assurance, specifically in manual testing
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and QA processes
• Strong knowledge of blockchain technology and concepts like smart contracts, nodes, and consensus mechanisms
• Proficiency in creating and managing test cases, test plans, and bug reports using tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar
• Familiarity with testing techniques for web and mobile applications
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality work
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented mindset
• Problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn and adapt quickly

Nice to have:

• Experience with blockchain testing
• Bash scripting
• Basic knowledge of automation testing
• Experience with AWS
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments

Responsibilities:

• Create, maintain, and execute manual test cases and test plans for blockchain applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing across different blockchain project features
• Identify, document, and report bugs, issues, and inconsistencies to the development team.
• Validate bug fixes and perform re-testing as required
• Work alongside automation engineers to support and enhance the overall quality assurance process
• Stay informed on the latest developments in blockchain technology and quality assurance practices
• Continuously improve test processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
