Work in a team specialized in designing, building APIs with REST, GraphQL, websockets, or webhooks.

Customer:

Work in the Innovation Lab of a large Canadian financial institution. The innovation lab is the fuel of creativity behind technologies that are the power of the large Canadian financial institution. Great team of software engineers, data scientists, product managers who have been creating startups and solutions from scratch. The Innovation Lab encourages our software engineers to follow their creativity within a working community where there is the freedom to both try new things and to grow.

Your future responsibilities:

• Work in a team specialized in designing, building APIs with REST, GraphQL, websockets, or webhooks.
• Work collaboratively with our greater team to architect the customer experience for our MVP products.
• Utilize your expertise to experiment and develop meaningful solutions for the customers of tomorrow.
• Work with the team in order to develop end-to-end features across cloud, mobile, and web infrastructures.
• Explore new ideas.
• Use SCRUM and Agile methodologies.
• Work in an agile environment with data science colleagues and business stakeholders to iterate on value propositions for product development.

Requirements:

• JavaScript, React, Webpack, Babel;
• A least 3 years of experience in architecting and developing scalable solutions;
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform;
• Understanding of CI/CD tools e.g. GitLab;
• Experience with GraphQL.

Preferable:

• Node.js;
• Relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase;
• Enterprise CI/CD and DevOps concepts.
