Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Front End Engineer (React) for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. The client is the first “on-the-way” crowdsourced delivery platform. They put extra space in passenger vehicles to work by connecting people with items to send to drivers heading in the right direction. The collaborative model enables fast, flexible, scalable delivery that reaches 90% of all U.S. households. They work with consumers, small businesses, and extensive global brands to help with same-day and urgent deliveries nationwide. The community of 200,000 verified drivers has delivered to more than 20,000 zip codes – the country’s most significant local same-day delivery footprint. The client makes it easy to launch same-day delivery with no set-up time or expense with their mobile and web applications. At purchase, customers can request a pickup in minutes and track their delivery from pickup to drop-off in real time. They work with top retailers, airlines, and grocers to provide a faster, more efficient, and more scalable solution for same-day and last-mile deliveries nationwide.
Overlap till 1 pm EST (20:00 UA/19:00 CET) is required

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience
• Strong React coding skills
• Ruby on Rails coding skills will be a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work closely with UX designers and other internal stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve application issues
• Experience writing clean, stable, and maintainable code in production environments
• A willingness to admit what you don’t know, and learn what you need to learn quickly
• Bonus: GraphQL

Responsibilities

• Write clean, high-quality, maintainable, and performant code
• Work with our existing front-end engineering team to roll out new features
• Work with our design team to build out a library of re-usable React components
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product and Operations teams to improve performance of existing systems
• Work in a fast-paced environment where we are frequently iterating to support the needs of our users, enhancing our apps and redefining feature roadmaps
• Plan and execute on short-term and long-term engineering goals individually and within the greater technology team
