Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior React Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is a technology leader in transportation management, leveraging advanced technology to optimize fleet operations and enhance overall efficiency and safety through mission-critical software that supports North America's trucking and transportation industry. They offer a cloud-based platform that enhances fleet management, route planning, and operational efficiency.The platform utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to automate and optimize daily fleet operations, improving real-time visibility and decision-making. The software suite includes tools for route planning, dispatch, workflow, telematics, fleet management, and electronic logging devices (ELDs), serving over 300 leading transportation fleets, including some with more than 1,000 vehicles. With the powerful and intuitive cloud-based fleet management platform and mobile app, trucking fleets can enhance operational efficiency, mitigate risk, and boost profitability.
Daily Stand-ups at 17:00 UA (16:00 CET). Overlap till 20:00 UA (19:00 CET).

Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field
• 6+ years of experience in Front-End development
• 4+ years of experience with React, including Redux, web sockets, and Webpack
• JavaScript expert with experience in Typescript
• Strong skills in web fundamentals, including JavaScript/Typescript, the DOM, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with AWS and microservice-oriented architectures.
• Experience and ability to validate design and UX.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Resourceful team player that thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment.
• At least upper-intermediate English (spoken and written).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with logistics, transportation management, telematics, and/or geospatial technology.

Responsibilities

• Own the development of one or more front-end products, including system design/architecture, implementation, and technical debt management.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to design, develop, document, and deploy robust, enterprise-grade products and software.
• Share your knowledge by mentoring fellow engineers, assisting with design and code reviews, and promoting best practices.
• Take ownership and participate in all steps of the development process, from design to release and support.

• Experience with NextJS and ExpressJS.
• Experience with AWS and microservice-oriented architectures.
• Familiarity with logistics, transportation management, telematics, and/or geospatial technology.
