Room 8 Studio is looking for talented 3D animators with experience in the game industry, excellent technical skills, and a passion for exciting projects. If you are eager to animate games by your work and create complex thoughtful animation, our team is waiting for you!

Superpowers you have are

• 3+ years of experience in gameplay animation or related fields;
• Advanced proficiency in 3D animation software and game engines;
• Experience with motion capture data, including editing and cleanup;
• Strong understanding of camera animation, cinematic framing, and facial animation;
• Ability to design animation systems in collaboration with gameplay team members.
• Knowledge of auto-rig frameworks like mGear or Advanced Skeleton;
• A portfolio showcasing a range of gameplay animations, both hand-keyed and motion capture;
• Work closely with game designers to ensure animations enhance gameplay responsiveness and immersion.
• Mentor junior animators and provide constructive feedback;
• A responsible approach to work;
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively;
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset to work in dynamic, creative environments;
• Intermediate+ English level (written and spoken) for seamless collaboration and documentation.

You’re a rockstar if you have

• Skinning and basic rigging skills;
• Knowledge of facial animation and lip-syncing processes;
• Familiarity with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine, including a basic understanding of animation state machines;
• Knowledge of Unreal Engine animation systems (Animation Blueprints, Control Rig, Sequencer, Metahumans).

As a part of Room 8 studio, you will

• Create 3D animation for games (characters, environment, props, etc.);
• Create a rig/skin for characters;
• Create technical guidelines for animation;
• Arrange strong and smooth teamwork with artists and project managers;
• Collaborate with game designers, programmers, and other animators to develop and refine character movement, combat, and interaction animations;
• Implement animations directly into Unreal Engine 5, utilizing its advanced tools and features to ensure seamless integration and performance;
• Optimize animations for performance and memory, ensuring they run smoothly on target platforms.
