We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to join Amazon Alexa team in Poland. We are building the Alexa eXperience Data (AXD) Platform which is a set of services providing data products that support customer experience (CX) insights. Those insights help the organization understand drivers for customer engagement and how Alexa features are being consumed. We innovate on behalf of our customers to improve their experience.

Key job responsibilities:

• Specify technical requirements, design, build and operate software services and web applications that support data analytics workflows.
• Lead projects developed by multiple engineers and deliver through others.
• Define technology strategy and own system design and architecture.
• Drive good engineering practices and operational excellence in the team.
• Support operational planning and define solutions to realize business value and meet customer needs.

Basic Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, C#, C/C++, Python, etc.).
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems.
• Solid knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures).

Preferred Qualifications:

Qualifications listed below will be helpful in this role but are not required. You will gain this experience working with us.

• Experience working with AWS (e.g. Lambda, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, Cloud Development Kit).
• Experience building distributed systems, microservices, serverless applications, RESTful APIs, web applications.
• Knowledge and experience with various processes in the full SDLC (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build systems, integration and deployment, maintenance, updates, etc.).
• Experience leading projects developed by multiple engineers and delivering through others.
• Experience defining technology strategy and owning system design and architecture.
