Position & client:
As a part of the infrastructure team, you will be working closely with DevOps engineers and Architects from Canada and will have the opportunity to contribute to overall cloud infrastructure, improve day-to-day operations, system performance and scalability.
EBlock is a real-time vehicle auction which has significant load and consists of multiple comprehensive microservices. As a part of this team, you’ll spend 80% of your time working with AWS and Terraform and 20% of your time with Java/Docker, as some of the systems that this team manages will require code changes for maintenance purposes.
EBlock is headquartered in Toronto, Canada. This is an outstaff position so readiness to shift your working day will be a strong plus.
Responsibilities:
- Automation, deployment, management, and maintenance of AWS cloud-based systems.
- Ensuring availability, performance, security and scalability of AWS production systems.
- Establish, manage the creation, release, logging, monitoring, metrics and configuration of production systems.
- Help optimize our backend, mobile and web release cycle building continuous deployment and continuous integration pipelines.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation and technical diagramming of interconnected systems and networks.
- Handle incidents, troubleshoot systems, perform root cause analysis of outages, and resolve problems across various application domains and platforms.
- Define, automate, adhere and validate disaster recovery, data manipulation, compliance, security controls, risk treatment and change management policies.
- Work solo or collectively with peer DevOps engineers, collaborating cross-functionally and sharing knowledge.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer/DevOps;
- 2+ years experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform;
- Experience with Java technology stack is a strong plus;
- Experience with Docker, AWS ECS, AWS Lambda;
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes and AWS CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline;
- Upper-Intermediate English speaking level.

- Continuous self-development: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, acquire relevant certifications, and become a knowledgeable e-commerce consultant.
- Collaborate with merchants, agencies, affiliate networks, internal teams, to improve revenue, performance, and overall satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in business development, preferably within the e-commerce industry (minimum 2 years).
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to effectively manage key accounts.
- Fluent/Native-level Dutch speaker.
- Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Analytical mindset with a passion for understanding the e-commerce landscape.
- Goal-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Familiarity with Google Shopping and the Partner CSS program is highly desirable.
- Willingness to obtain certifications and complete relevant courses to enhance your expertise.
