Andersen is hiring a Junior QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript) for a UK FinTech project. The role involves testing web-based solutions that support financial operations through data and analytics tools.
The customer is a technology-focused FinTech company with a strong foundation in market expertise, quantitative research, and modern cloud technologies. The company builds data-centric solutions for the financial industry, specializing in advanced analytics and software engineering to create innovative tools that support informed decision-making in trading and investment.
The project is focused on developing advanced FinTech solutions, including an analytics platform with real-time data visualization and trading strategy tools, as well as a web application for brokerage trading. Both aim to enhance decision-making and streamline trading through intuitive, data-driven interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Creating, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using Cypress.
• Writing clear and maintainable JavaScript code for test automation.
• Identifying test scenarios.
• Detecting issues and inconsistencies in web applications during test execution.
• Documenting bugs and reporting them to the development team using Jira.
• Working closely with developers, the product manager, and the QA team to understand requirements and functionality.
• Ensuring Cypress is integrated with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).

Requirements

• Experience in QA Automation for 6+ months.
• Experience with Cypress for writing and executing automated tests.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript, understanding of HTML, CSS, and the DOM structure for web application testing.
• Knowledge of software testing principles, including functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Ability to write and execute test cases and scenarios.
• Ability to identify and analyze bugs in web applications.
• Basic debugging skills to determine the root cause of test failures.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how test automation integrates into them.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
