We are looking for a Middle Node.js Developer with deep expertise in backend development to join a team that builds innovative products in the IoT domain.
You will be part of a strong team of 25 engineers who have already delivered a range of ambitious solutions – from cloud platforms to scalable ecosystems for managing real-world devices.

Your skill set:

• 2+ years of experience in backend development using JavaScript (Node.js);
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and RESTful API development;
• Hands-on experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Percona, and MongoDB;
• Familiarity with message brokers and protocols, including MQTT, WebSockets, and HTTP;
• Experience using Docker and a solid grasp of container orchestration basics;
• Practical experience with version control systems (e.g., Git);
• Experience working with cloud providers such as DigitalOcean or Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools, particularly GitLab CI/CD;
• Experience in supporting and maintaining production environments;
• Intermediate level of English.

Would be a plus:

• Prior experience or strong interest in the IoT domain;
• Familiarity with IoT protocols and standards such as Wi-Fi, Ethernet, MQTT, Modbus, Zigbee, and BLE;
• Experience with time-series databases like InfluxDB;
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture;
• Basic experience or foundational knowledge of embedded development (C/C++, ESP32/ESP8266, Arduino, ESP-IDF, PlatformIO).

Responsibilities:

• Develop robust backend solutions for IoT and related web applications;
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, and product managers to implement requirements;
• Maintain and optimize existing applications and databases;
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to the continuous improvement of code quality;
• Write and maintain technical documentation;
• Contribute to the continuous integration and deployment pipeline;
• Identify, debug, and resolve backend issues;
• Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and estimation.
