The Sitecore & Web Manager is responsible for leading a team of developers and QA professionals while supervising the strategic direction and technical oversight of Sitecore & Magento. This role combines people management with platform leadership, focusing on aligning technical strategies with organizational goals rather than being accountable for direct delivery. In close collaboration with Tech Leads and Architects, the Sitecore & Web Manager defines and steers the strategic roadmap, ensuring platform accountability, scalability, and alignment with Product Owners acting as the business advocate.

Key Responsibilities:

• People Management and Development:
  • Guide a group of Sitecore-focused programmers, web developers, and quality assurance experts, offering consistent performance feedback and mentorship and fostering career development.
  • Cultivate a positive, collaborative team culture that supports growth, innovation, and engagement.
  • Support team members in setting and achieving professional goals aligned with organizational needs and individual career paths.
• Platform Strategy and Technical Oversight:
  • Define and guide the strategic roadmap for Sitecore and web platforms, collaborating closely with Tech Leads and Architects to ensure technical alignment with business goals.
  • Provide oversight for the technical health and long-term scalability of platforms, facilitating evaluations and improvements without direct accountability for project delivery.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities, recommending strategic improvements to align with best practices.
• Cross-Functional and Strategic Collaboration:
  • Partner with Tech Leads and Architects to define standards and architectural guidelines, ensuring alignment with the organization’s technical and business strategies.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to support platform-related insights to inform business decisions.
  • Engage with QA Architects and other cross-functional leaders to uphold quality standards and align platform technical strategy with security, compliance, and performance requirements.
• Platform Governance and Resource Support:
  • Establish platform governance practices in collaboration with Architects, ensuring the platform adheres to defined technical standards and is prepared for future demands.
  • Coordinate professional development needs for the Sitecore and Web team, ensuring the team has access to the necessary training and tools.
  • Act as an advocate for the Sitecore and Web teams, providing an environment of open communication and feedback.

Collaborative Responsibilities and Key Partnerships:

• Technical Collaboration with Tech Leads, Architects, and Product Owners:
• Work closely with Tech Leads and Architects to align on technical strategy, resource needs, and platform capabilities.
• Participate in strategic discussions to ensure the platform roadmap aligns with both technical and business perspectives.
• Partner with Product Owners to align technical strategy with user needs and business goals, without direct responsibility for feature delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in people management, particularly within a digital or web platform environment such as Sitecore.
• Good understanding of web platform strategy, architecture, and best practices, with experience in strategic planning for digital platforms.
• Proven collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with technical leaders, Product Owners, and business stakeholders.
• A focus on supporting team development and a commitment to building a positive, growth-oriented work environment.
