Itera is looking for a Junior Frontend developer who will work on the project for the biggest Icelandic bank. Your team will cooperate directly with Icelandic developers and designers to make the best banking applications in Iceland using all the power of the custom Component library, Storybook/Chromatic.
We are looking for an open-minded person, who is passionate about continuous self-development and can solve challenging tasks by himself.  

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Develop state-of-the-art applications using the latest and greatest technology available.
• Communicate directly with the customer’s team, clarify technical requirements.
• Deliver high-quality code.
• Be able to work independently.
• Follow WCAG AAA in terms of accessibility.
• Use Chromatic for visual testing.
• Experience authentic Icelandic culture.

Professional requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience within software development;
• Proficient at core web technologies, including HTML, CSS and JavaScript;
• React JS and TypeScript practical experience of creating React-based UI;
• Styled components;
• Solid experience in implementing components;
• Strong experience with building for accessibility and other related a11y issues;
• Good OOP/OOD skills and good quality of produced code, best practices, clean code;
• Completed bachelor’s degree in computer science;
• Experience with version control systems (Git);
• English: Upper-Intermediate;
• High level of responsibility and loyalty;
• Experience of direct communication with a customer.

Be a plus:

• Storybook;
• GraphQL;
• Experience of developing Styled components/Emotion;
• Knowledge of unit testing, CI/CD processes;
• Experience with Cordova or similar technology.
