Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer with Angular and Node.js for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is a trusted leader in developing innovative utility software and technology solutions. Job Description:

• You will be responsible for developing and maintaining both the front-end and back-end of the web applications and leveraging Angular for building responsive and dynamic user interfaces, and Node.js for creating scalable and efficient server-side services. The team utilizes Podman for container management.
• The team follows Agile methodologies, with Jira used for project tracking. The company is in the process of increasing automated testing as code is checked in to reduce the need for regression testing.

Meeting with the team:

• Overlap till 1 pm EST (20:00 UA / 19:00 CET) – mandatory
• Scrum process: 2-week sprints
• Daily standups: 9:30 am EST (16:30 UA / 15:30 CET)
• Weekly: sprint planning + retrospective
• Quarterly: 3-day planning sessions → require working till 2–3 pm EST (21–22:00 UA / 20–21:00 CET)

Responsibilities

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role, with a focus on Angular and Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of Angular (Angular 2+), JavaScript/TypeScript, and front-end frameworks.
• Solid understanding of Node.js and RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of Oracle databases (strongly preferred), as well as familiarity with other databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with front-end build tools and libraries (e.g., Bun, NPM, Tailwind, etc.).
• Experience with responsive web design and UI/UX principles.
• Expertise in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Upper intermediate English

Nice to have

• Experience with Agile development methodologies e.g., Scrum, Kanban). Current team transitioning to Kanban.
• Familiarity with React.
• Experience with C# and .NET.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Podman and Docker, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Jasmine, Karma).
• Experience with AI as used in software development and testing (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.).
• Familiarity with Kanban methodology

Responsibilities

• Design and implement interactive, user-friendly web interfaces using Angular (with experience in Angular 2+).
• Develop and maintain server-side logic using Node.js, integrating with databases and third-party services.
• Create RESTful APIs to support front-end functionality and ensure seamless integration.
• Work with databases (e.g., Oracle, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL) to manage data storage and retrieval.
• Write unit and integration tests for both front-end and back-end systems; troubleshoot and resolve issues. Participate in automated testing processes to reduce regression testing.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Identify bottlenecks and performance issues and implement solutions to ensure scalability and speed.
• Participate in peer code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and maintain high-quality standards.
