We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to join us as part of our team.

About the role

The Data Technology team within PitchBook’s Product organization develops solutions to support and accelerate our data operations processes. This domain impacts core workflows of data capture, ingestion, and hygiene across many datasets. This role works collaboratively with our Data Operations, Engineering, and customer-facing Product teams to strategically align the roadmap with business needs and ruthlessly prioritize development efforts to drive roadmap delivery and operational efficiency.

As a qualified expert You will

• Validate business needs, pain points, and opportunities through ongoing stakeholder collaboration
• Be an SME for your product area(s) and resource for team members across PitchBook
• Actively define roadmap prioritization and create business cases for new opportunities
• Create project plans and detailed functional specifications from prioritized requirements and business objectives
• Communicate requirements and technical details to stakeholders in multiple PitchBook departments
• Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and project teams to execute your technical product roadmap
• Continuously improve our external and internal deliverables and operational processes
• Define, create, and manage metrics that track workstream and system performance.
• Understand and analyze data pipelines, algorithms, and automated systems
• Give compelling presentations to stakeholders on projects and vision
• Be a resource for junior team members on the Product Management process
• Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
• Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

We’re looking for you if you have

• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of product management or other relevant experience
• A proven record of shipping high impact data structures, pipelines, and workflow tools
• Bias for action and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what is necessary to meet team goals
• Experience gathering user-centric requirements and writing functional specification documents
• Superior attention to detail including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong audience awareness
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, Java, and micro-oriented architectures and infrastructures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience collaborating with data gathering/operations teams
• Demonstrated collaborative experience with technical architects to achieve long-term goals
• Experience communicating with remote teams and stakeholders
• Demonstrated application of artificial intelligence/machine learning solutions within data collection processes. This includes knowledge of OCR, Classifier training, and Prompt Engineering
