Our client is an innovative AI startup that helps businesses assess and mitigate the financial risks associated with climate change. They leverage advanced AI models and data analytics to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
The company operates fully remotely, with a globally distributed team primarily working across US and UK time zones. Despite being an early-stage startup, they already serve paying customers and continuously enhance their AI-driven solutions.
This is a fast-paced, high-impact environment where engineers take ownership, solve complex problems, and contribute to cutting-edge AI applications in climate risk assessment and financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sophisticated user interfaces using Next.js;
• Optimise applications for maximum efficiency, scalability, and maintainability;
• Collaborate with designers and backend developers to enhance user experience;
• Implement advanced state management and data fetching techniques;
• Ensure high-performance rendering and efficient server-side rendering (SSR) with Next.js.

Requirements

• Proficient in JavaScript ES6+, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model;
• Deep understanding of Next.js framework and its core principles;
• Experience with advanced frontend development tools and methodologies (e.g., Redux, GraphQL);
• Proficiency in client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including React;
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Bonus points for

• Experience with Angular is a plus;
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases;
• Familiarity with OAuth and other authentication protocols;
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong portfolio demonstrating complex frontend projects;
• Experience with modern development tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel, npm).
