Superpowers you have are
- 5+ years of experience in gameplay animation, with multiple shipped AAA titles or equivalent high-quality projects;
- Expert proficiency in industry-standard animation software and tools (e.g., Maya, Blender) and advanced game engines like Unreal Engine or Unity;
- Strong experience with animation pipelines, including the integration of assets into game engines and optimization for performance across platforms;
- Advanced knowledge of motion capture workflows, including planning, directing, and implementing mocap shoots;
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring teams of animators;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration with art directors, game designers, and engineers;
- Ability to balance creative vision with technical and project constraints;

As a part of Room 8 studio, you will
- Create 3D animation for games (characters, environment, props, etc.);
- Create a rig/skin for characters;
- Create technical guidelines for animation;
- Arrange strong and smooth teamwork with artists and project managers;
- Lead the development of high-quality animations that align with the artistic vision and technical requirements of the project;
- Collaborate with game designers, programmers, and other animators to develop and refine character movement, combat, and interaction animations;
- Implement animations directly into Unreal Engine 5, utilizing its advanced tools and features to ensure seamless integration and performance;
- Optimize animations for performance and memory, ensuring they run smoothly on target platforms;
- Provide mentorship and guidance to animators, sharing knowledge and best practices to elevate the team’s overall skill level.

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Material Artist to join our Environment & Props team. In this role, you will develop materials that enhance realism in our games. You will help define material and asset workflows, improve current practices, and build a library of materials that can be utilized by all art disciplines.
Superpowers you have are
- 3+ years of experience in AAA game development or credit on at least one AAA title as a material artist;
- Portfolio demonstrating a wide variety of tiled and one-to-one materials created using both procedural and 3d sculpted techniques and showing attention to detail, plausibility and an aesthetic eye;
- Expert skills in Substance Designer/Painter;
- Solid understanding of PBR rendering and the interaction between materials and lighting;
- Experience working with game engines and various real-time rendering software;
- Solid understanding of efficient low poly mesh techniques;
- Strong UV layout techniques;
- Understanding of Texel density, memory limitations, etc.;
- Ability to follow concept/reference and work with a wide range of styles with minimal concept and direction;

- Work closely with leads and art teams to create high-fidelity materials via Substance Designer/Painter;
- Build and maintain the studio’s Substance library of materials & utilities;
- Build and maintain complex in-engine materials using a proprietary material editor;
- Work with the Art Manager and Production team to deliver time estimates for texture/material creation;
- Research new tools and techniques to create more efficient and visually appealing environments;
- Create documentation & tutorials, and requirements for the new pipelines & techniques;
- Collaborate with 3D artists, designers, and other development teams to understand and meet the content creator needs of the game;
- Create environment assets and scenes while considering hardware and design limitations and the overall art vision of the project;
- Mentor less experienced members of the team.

- Participate in estimation calculations of new projects and tests;
- Ensure the quality of the artists’ work within the team;
- Assist in resolving artistic and technical issues within the team;
- Organize the team’s work according to project requirements and specific tasks;

- Model photorealistic environments and hard surface assets for games based on provided concepts and references, following guidelines;
- Create clean, low-resolution game topology, optimal UV’s mapping, and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.);
